Suzanne Tidwell is an up-and-coming fiber artist in the Seattle area.
When I see a length of material or a ball of yarn, I instantly know what it should be. For me, art is the realization of the many ideas I see in my head. These ideas evolve from images that come to me as bright flashes of thought - occasionally as a full picture, sometimes just a series of elements - often just a blur. I manipulate these pictures over and over in my mind, rearranging, re-ordering, adding and subtracting elements until my idea is clear enough to become something real.
